Homebuilders Get a Lift You learn something new every day: Home sales generally rally after the Super Bowl.
While this wasn't a housing indicator that I was familiar with, this positive sentiment seems to be helping homebuilders move higher today, with the iShares Dow Jones U.S. Home Construction ETF jumping nearly 2% in early trading.
Spring is the busiest time of the year for homebuilders, and Bloomberg reports that six of the 10 largest U.S. homebuilders are looking for a sales comeback this spring.
While there are still challenges facing the real estate market as a whole, homebuilders could be set to ride this tide of optimism during the weeks and months ahead.
