The middle point between 1684 - 1700 is 1692. If 1700 in the cards, SPX would need to pin at 1692 for a while (like hours).  Should this happen this afternoon (new high even better), 1700+ would be likely.

Keeping under 1690 (the lower, the better) is what bears want.

So far SPX is forming a left translated V.  So it's not bad for bear, unless SPX would go to 1692 this afternoon somehow.

It's well known that OE day is boring.

If SPX closed at 1690 (1688), it would be hard for me to predict any short term target (although it smells like 1696? exact before 1700?)
