A letter to Jimmy Webb, VA senator
Dear Senator,
I have read what you have said on cnbc.com about the issues with China and Japan. I hope you are getting facts straight here:
The island is part of China without questions. Based on the Cairo treaty:
All the territories Japan has stolen from China such as Manchuria (Dongbei), Formosa (Taiwan), and the Pescadores (Penghu), shall be restored to the Republic of China.
The overwhelming historical evidence is there, the US messed it up and now it is time for the US to clean the mess.
I want to know why US, acting like a fair cop to the world order would be shy from spanking the Japanese in this matter?
Read the Postam Declaration and tell me clearly what the US should do now:
"Japanese sovereignty shall be limited to the islands of Honshu, Hokkaido, Kyushu, Shikoku and such minor islands as we determine." As had been announced in the Cairo Declaration in 1943.[1]
Please play it fairly.
Thanks,
James |
